I consider it a great honour to be patron of the charity Hospice at Home Gwynedd and Anglesey and am constantly humbled and inspired by the work undertaken by the nursing staff and the enthusiasm, generosity and commitment of the volunteers and staff alike. It is such a privilege to be able to offer my help, albeit in a small way, to this invaluable and pioneering charity. We all have experiences of loved ones and family members facing a life limiting illness, caring for them, travelling to treatment and therapy, and from my personal experience how much of a strain this puts on the patient and family. Hospice at Home Gwynedd and Anglesey nursing and charity staff including volunteers offer practical help to alleviate these pressures at what is usually the most difficult time for any family, and I can only hope my involvement will contribute in some way to the incredible work being done and ensure that the future will see the people of Gwynedd and Anglesey benefiting when they need help the most.
